On 7 July, A Team of 180 Kotra Pharma Staffs rocked Ipoh Town with the mission of completing 10 Stations within 4 hours! They walked in hot weather, they built balloon device, connect the PVC pipes, made Indian flower garland, and peeled and designed pomelo hat with, flipped roti canai, walking with special device with the support of the team, “eating worms” and many more.

The radius of the race is 2km! This is most challenging (to date) with a new record of 180 participants… exploring the heritage city on this Amazing Race! Participants have no choice but have to plan it wisely before the race to avoid wasted time and energy, they have to collaborate with other team (competitors). Unlike conventional treasure hunt where participants required to find clue & solving puzzle. In this race, the team has total control of how they plan their race and every participants MUST work together (no free rider) in order to complete each challenge.

Learning is fun, retention is increased when participants are engaged with fun, challenging and not-threatened environment activities and such activities we call “Experiential Learning”. Third batch of staffs from SEGI College Subang Jaya participated in this workshop last weekend.

It was big challenges when come to the activities such as the fear factor, Poweriser Challenge, Blindfold Tent Building, Human Puzzle and rollercoaster challenge.

All SEGI participants have taken the challenge and successfully completed the whole activities in these two day team building workshop!

We walk in as an individual, we run out as a team back to Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong. This “Building High Performance team” conducted by Jovie, a high energy, friendly, easy to approach lead facilitator.

Participants walk themselves into traffic jam, they experience the importance of finding a way out together. Treasure hunt in the hill has never been easy, especially when there are large numbers of senior-team-members, they climb up the hike and crawl down the slope for one aim- solve the clues!

They experience the toughest decision-where they have to put their lives on the hand of One Leader, all faith and trust in the dark forest. They made it out!

Participants of 4th batch CAHP are more than just colleagues now, they are family! They vowed to continue to spread the positiveness to each and every one in Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong!

Columbia Asia Hospital – Puchong 3rd batch of participants were brought to Fraser Hill this time. Fraser’s breathtaking scenery and chilling weather, has easily made participants immersed in learning.

This team building workshop “Building High Performance Team” was led by JAY Team Building Lead Facilitator, Steve. With the aim of exploring participants in the area of team communication, change leadership, motivation, team problem solving and sharing common goal.

Fraser Hill’s Treasure Hunt On the second day morning has challenged participants in exploring the whole of Fraser hill. Clues and Fraser Hill map are given to participants and they’re required to find out the answer, solve the puzzle and perform tasks throughout the journey!

JAY Team Builders had great time with Robert Bosch at Janda Baik with the activities and challenges like Jungle Trekking to water fall, fighting with mosquitoes and leeches, managing slippery route and obstacles throughout the journey. Poweriser challenge and Zorball rolling on the day 2 were basically great experiences to experience team supportiveness during poweriser challenge and overcoming fear during Zorball rolling! In this two days, Participants actively involved in all programs and they have shared about themselves, learning points and commit to have more engagement with other team members.

As the world changes, organizations and leaders are beginning to change in response. Yet we are still in a transition period between the old and the new, which partly explains why we often hear talk about a current “leadership Crisis”. JAY Team Building delivered a program “New Age Leadership” to Columbia Asia Hospital – a leading hospital in Malaysia.

During these two days, topics like reality of leadership, communicate a shared vision, leadership communication and Follower-ship were shared to the participants during debrief and sharing session. Participants were actively involved in all programs. They shared the insights and the learning points of the activities. Experiential program like Amazing Race required participants to navigate through a series of tasks using the clues as they race to complete the race.

On the roller coaster building project, participant were ask to build a free standing device capable of transporting a ball over a given distance. At the initial brief many participants will not believe that this task is achievable. However, there were champions who’re enthuse and motivate the rest of team, with the support of our Facilitator.
