A Swedish company based in China, Wuxi IRO has engaged JAY Team Building to be their facilitator during internal activity in Malaysia. The objectives of the activity are to focus on “Having a shared Vision”. All Department Directors and Managing Director were discussing on why a clear vision is so important and brainstormed on how to inspire people by sharing a vision.
Besides that, The team was explored to the topic of new age leadership, discussing difference between level 4 and level 5 leadership (from a well-known book – Good to Great, Jim Collin) and manager’s role as leader. During Discussion, all senior managers were putting their heads together to come out with action plan on how to be a “New Age Leader”, who possesses the criteria of Model the way, Inspire a vision, challenge the process, enables other to act and encourage the heart.
Lastly, participants were introduced “Conflict Mode Assessment”. This assessment identifies five different styles of conflict: Competing, Avoiding, Accommodating, Collaborating, and Compromising. The Interpretation help respondents identify the appropriate use of the styles and help them become more comfortable with styles they are less familiar with.
